Texas Driving Test Only

YES, you can take the Driving Test at Drivers Test Now Driving School instead of testing at the Texas Department of Public Safety. This means that you can avoid the long wait for a driving test at the TDPS.

YOU QUALIFY TO TAKE A ROAD TEST IF:

 You are between the ages of 16 or 17 and,

 Have a valid Texas Learner’s Driving Permit (with picture on it) and have held permit for a minimum of 6 months.

 Have completed an approved Teen Driver Education Program (24 Classroom hours and 14 In/Car hours of instruction).

 Must have a DE-964 (Commercial Driving School) and/or PT-964 (Parent Taught) completion certificate.

 You must watch a two (2) hour Impact Texas Teen Drivers (ITTD) video. and have a valid completion certificate (expires 90 days after date of issue).You will need to download, print.

Must have a 30 hour parent log and come with it completely filled out.

 Must have VOE from school child is attending.

Bring all documents printed and signed.

Parent must accompany applicant to sign required documents for the Texas Department of Public Safety.

ROAD TEST INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

  You can use your own car for the test, or optionally you can rent the driving school car for $35 to use for the test.

 Also there is a $35 Service Option for Drivers Test Now to process and submit your road test documents through the Department of Public Safety (DPS) portal. This will help you avoid the hassle of scheduling in-person appointments with DPS. Please note that the DPS portal is still in development and may require multiple document resubmissions. There are no refunds for this service, as we will work until your documents are approved.

Cancellations before completion are not allowed, and no refunds will be issued, except in the rare case where an issue cannot be resolved, in which a partial refund may apply.

People Not Allowed to Upload Docs:

• Teens who are turning 18 years old within 30 Days of Passing the Road Test
• Not a US Citizen
• Anyone with a Pending Transaction at the DPS

Upon completion of the driving test, the examiner will tell the applicant of any errors made during the driving test and advise the applicant how to correct those errors.
